The designer who loved contrast
People did weird things during the 1960s. One reason is that many of the synthetic fibers and appliances we use today were invented in that decade. With fashion’s tradition of being at the cutting edge, they wasted no time experimenting.
British designer Reed Crawford, who was known for mixing contrasting materials, created these odd caps. They featured a plastic visor-like base studded with milk bottle caps. It’s perfect for when you’re flying into deep space and need something highly reflective.
