Why is everybody so obsessed with people living on Mars? First, it is the closest planet to Earth, so it’s technically the easiest one to explore. Secondly, if we keep going the route we’re going, we’ll probably have to find a new home pretty soon. If the worst scenario were to become a reality, there are certain assumptions about life on the Red Planet that we can make. We asked ourselves what it would be like to inhabit a different planet in our solar system and decided to do some research. Here is what we came up with!
We’re closer than ever
Did you know that we have been studying Mars up close for ages? The first fly-by took place in 1965, and there are still two rovers, Opportunity, and Curiosity, exploring its surface. Still, the end goal is to send humans, and we are closer than ever.
A human-crewed mission is currently being planned for the 2030s, which is unbelievable. Although rovers and probes have provided invaluable information, nothing compares to what actual people may discover. There are even plans to set up a permanent station on Mars!
