The Sun is weird
Remember that time your mom told you not to touch the iron’s metal bottom? Yet you still went ahead and got burned, even though you could feel the heat radiating from it. Well, that wouldn’t happen if you touched the Sun’s surface.

It wouldn’t happen because you’d be obliterated by its heat well before reaching it. You see, its surface is not as hot as its corona, that is, its visible atmosphere. One is around 9,900 °F while the other is between 1.7 to 17 million °F.
